WL12 (PAIR)

Rare pair of large pewter and silvered brass armorial wall lights in early 18th century style. 
They bear the Thynne coat of arms and were clearly part of a longer set made to order for the Marquis of Bath for the late 19th century extensions at Longleat c.1900. 
These have been cast directly from one of the repousse brass set that decorate the Great Hall at Longleat, and bear the shadows of rivets on the original that do not exist on the present pair.
