Extremely fine ormolu six arm chandelier of bold architectural form, in the transitional Gout Grec taste of early neoclassicism in the last years of Louis XV's reign. This chandelier was clearly made by one of the great Parisian bronziers of the Belle Epoque period and was made for electricity c.1900
