Rare large pair of flambé glaze Chinese porcelain vases of superb colour. The unrestored vases of typically Kangxi rouleau form with waisted neck, later mounted in fine gilt bronze in the third quarter of the nineteenth century, probably to serve as oil lamps. The mounting is typical of Gagneau, Paris
